“Experience history come to life at the Battle of Waterloo re-enactments.”
Relive one of the most famous battles in European history when the British and their allies finally defeated Napoleon and the French. This short
break includes two full days to enjoy the gloriously detailed re-enactments of this decisive battle. On June 19 - the anniversary of the battle -
there will be 'peaceful'
re-enactments where you can observe and take part in daily life in the camps. The following day is when the battles begin
and the crowds will witness spectacular re-enactments of the key skirmishes in the battle, including around Hougoumont Farm. With your free time,
why not also have a look at the visitors centre, Wellington's Headquarters in the town and the Battle of Waterloo Monument on Lion Mound - for great
views of the battlefields. Finally, we will stop off at Ostend, Belgium's most popular seaside resort.
You will stay for three nights at a comfortable hotel in Belgium. All hotels used have well-furnished en-suite bedrooms as well as a bar and a
dining room where continental breakfast will be included throughout your stay..
